Beyond Boundaries: Exploring Different Worlds

Step into a world where imagination knows no limits. Gallery 40 is proud to present “Beyond Boundaries,” a bold new exhibition that brings together diverse contemporary artists who push the edges of creative expression—across media, across realities, and beyond traditional forms.

Beyond Boundaries invites viewers to explore a curated collection of works that span painting, lithography, photography, encaustic, and mixed media. Each piece acts as a portal to another dimension—whether real, surreal, or speculative.

From dreamlike landscapes to experimental photography, the show weaves together multiple narratives, techniques, and textures. Artists featured in Beyond Boundaries come from diverse backgrounds and practices, yet share a common goal: to explore the edges of perception and reimagine the possible.

Between Black and White

A Contemporary Art Exhibition Exploring Contrast, Balance, and the Power of Minimal

Between Black and White, a new group exhibition featuring four contemporary artists working across diverse media, opens at Gallery 40 on June 20. The exhibition brings together painting, textile, photography, and mixed media works that explore the expressive possibilities of the black-and-white palette, punctuated by subtle and intentional splashes of color.

Rooted in the visual tension between darkness and light, Between Black and White invites viewers to experience how limitation can expand artistic language. Each artist approaches the restrained palette differently—some embracing stark monochromatic contrasts, others introducing moments of color as emotional or conceptual interruptions within the composition.

The four participating artists present distinct perspectives and techniques. From bold graphic abstractions to delicate photographic studies and tactile sculptural forms, the works demonstrate how a minimal palette can amplify form, texture, movement, and meaning. Occasional accents of color emerge throughout the exhibition, acting as visual punctuation—small but powerful gestures that shift the viewer’s perception.

Rather than treating black and white as opposites, Between Black and White explores the spectrum that exists between them: nuance, ambiguity, and quiet transitions. The exhibition highlights how artists use restraint to focus attention on structure, materiality, and the interplay of light and shadow.
