Talisman

The exhibition explores the world of magic and dreams where boundaries between illusion and reality are fading into each other.

We want the visitor to escape reality and enter a space where class, race, gender, and power politics are transcended, and we are instead nurtured by the supernatural elements present in all cultures across distance and time.

Because from time-to-time we all need some form of talismanic protection.

As individuals, but even as a collective, as a community, as a world aflame we need something greater than ourselves to protect us; perhaps from ourselves. The artwork presented in the exhibition wants to surprise the visitor, wants to influence the sense of reality, and transform moments of our lives into something magical and whimsical.
