Pressed & Folded: A Botanical & Encaustic Concertina Book

In this immersive 3-hour live workshop, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind concertina (accordion) book using encaustic techniques, botanicals, and mixed media. We’ll explore cyanotype printing, botanical collage, and encaustic plant reliefs while experimenting with materials that pair beautifully with wax. Inspired by nature and guided by process, this workshop is perfect for artists, creatives, and nature-lovers alike—no prior experience needed.

All materials and pressed flowers will be provided. Please feel free to bring your own if you have any favorites you want to use.

Alaina Enslen  holds a BFA from the University of Montevallo. She currently resides in the Hudson Valley, New York, and has been painting and teaching for over twenty years.
