Brothers in Suburbia - Film screening

“Brothers in suburbia” using auto ethnographic lens to explore the topic of family. “To

change the future you must look at the past". Bell Hooks’ the Will to Change, verbalised

around difficult emotions experienced around self-love, and what it means to be loved

for who I am, rather than what I can offer. I was inspired by her work to consider how I

might raise my own kids, and this piece chronicles the collection of lessons gathered

along this journey of self exploration.
