About the event
Join us for a presentation on how art has been integral part of the fashion designers world through the centuries. From ancient to contemporary art, we can discover how the two worlds are connected and how art is a great inspiration to the fashion world.
Presented by David Roberts.
David Roberts is a graduate of SUNY New Paltz. He moved to Poughkeepsie in 2017 from NYC, where he worked as a theatrical designer. Among the places he worked are the Metropolitan Opera and the Jim Henson Muppet Workshop. He also worked as a designer for an embroidery company. He is currently teaching History of Fashion at FIT in NYC. He also taught at Marist University , SUNY New Paltz, and at Montclair State University in New Jersey. He has lectured for Vassar LLI , at Marist CLS, and at Boardman Road Library.
